Yesterday on the shared site I reviewed a series by Septagon Studios(they have a tumblr too!)called Archeologists of Shadows.

You really should take a look at this book,it’s a great lesson in short chapter story telling that would belong at home in any Sci-fi/fantasy anthology comic.

A labour of love by Patricio Clarey & Lara Fuentes,Archeologists of Shadows is a stunning title.It’s photo manipulative 3d style art re-defines the word fantasy in relation to comics.You should check out Patricio Clarey’s deviantArt page for more great examples of his work on the comic.

It’s not just amazing art that makes Archeologists of Shadows a great independent buy,the story is very engaging too.We join Baltimo & Alix,two “files” in an bureaucratic nightmare world that enforces mechanization.The couple wish to remain (relatively)human & it’s this longing that drives the story.According to the titular,shadowy Archeologists,the pair may also be the “alter-egos”of the gods mentioned in the “book of references”,but is this true & how does it help them?
