A new still from the upcoming Judge Dredd film has been released & I’ve got to say the uniform design is very “real”.By that I mean rather that being ultra spacey it looks cobbled together by garments you could actually source yourself.Apart from maybe the Law Giver.He looks like a mildly futuristic motor cycle courier.I guess that’s pretty close to the original concept.I can’t picture that being Karl Urban under there in my head though…weird.

Dredd is out in September.

The Cannes screening of the new Judge Dredd film went down very well,apparently.

IM Global’s Stuart Ford was there & said this:

 “The reaction was great. It was as packed as any screening I’ve seen in Cannes. There were people sitting on the floor in the front and the back of the room.”

Of the title he said:“an edgy, cool film with a rocking soundtrack,”   and “appears very fresh and distinctive. It’s Dirty Harry meets District 9.”

IM Global financed the film,so I guess he would say that!I’m going to wait & see,it couldn’t be worse than the 90’s one!
